Sibley Dome Renovation

Built in 1902, the Sibley Dome is the iconic centerpiece of the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning. The space within the dome is currently under-utilized and Cornell University wants to transform it into a center for education, research, and collaboration. The scope of the project will include, but not limited to, the repair and restoration of the existing dome, replacement of existing exterior windows of second, third floor and lantern windows in the dome. There are three (3) window types, a total of forty (40) windows to be replaced. Addition of vents on the roof to support the building’s new mechanical system. The current space beneath the dome is a two-story atrium with a continuous floorplate on the lower floor and a partial floorplate on the upper floor. The scope of the interior renovation of two storey atrium.
